Christy Keane: 00:00 Hello Mamas and thank you for tuning into my first mommy influencer podcasts, mini episode, a k a MIP minis. And today I’m going to share with you five apps and websites that you can use to start making money as a mommy influencer today. There are a lot of methods and strategies to monetize your post and to build brand relationships. But on today’s MIP mini, I want to share just that there are a few apps out there that will actually help build that relationship for you. And what I really think is neat about these is it kind of takes a little bit of the pressure out of reaching out to brands and worrying about pitching, which we will discuss in later episodes. Um, but it’s really great for building a portfolio and full disclaimer for this episode- This is not a sponsored post. None of these brands know that I am talking about their apps or their websites today, but they are brands that I have personally used in the past and I’ve had experience with. So that is why I wanted to share them with you today. And with that being said, let’s dive in.

Christy Keane: 01:03 You’re listening to the Mommy influencer podcast where we dive into motherhood, social media marketing, and hear from inspiring Mommy influencers, brands and industry experts to bring you the inside knowledge, tools and strategies to grow your influence in business through purposeful online content creation. I’m your host, Christy Keane and I’m a navy veteran and registered nurse turned stay at home mom turned full time to motherhood influencer on track to be a six figure earner this year through social media marketing alone. So come in and cozy up mamas and get ready to take your influence to the next level.

Christy Keane: 01:43 So the first website I want to talk to you about is AspireIQ. And this used to be referred to as revfluence and it was an app. And now I use it on my computer website. But what I really like about them is that you can browse and choose which campaigns you would like to work with. So the way that it works is you just simply sign up as a creator and then you’ll be, you’ll see a list of brands that they work with. They work with, for example, Dyson, red Robin, hello fresh and Samsung Electronics. I personally have worked with them on some hello fresh campaigns as well as Red Robin. And when you find a brand or a campaign that looks like it’s something that aligns with your brand or something that you absolutely love and you want to promote, then you are able to name your price and wait to hear back.

Christy Keane: 02:31 So I like that it puts the ball in your court but it also takes away the pressure of having to deal with that brand relationship cause they’re really good about handling that on their end. Some of the campaigns are monetary compensation like I mentioned and some will let you know if it’s just for free product. And I want to definitely mention before I move forward that free product is not necessarily a bad thing, especially when you are just starting out. Um, I recently heard somebody mentioning such an interesting strategy to me and that they weren’t getting paid for a particular post, but the brand that they were working with was so great and so well known that they wanted to do that work anyhow and put in the hours to make that content because they wanted to be able to say they have worked with that brand on their media kit or when they’re reaching out to other brands for future work.

Christy Keane: 03:31 So just something to keep in the back of your mind when you see free product, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a bad campaign or campaign that’s not worth your time, especially if it’s a brand or product that you already use and really, really loved. And I will say I have had a really good experience with the customer service from aspireiq. Um, I won’t mention which campaign, but I did have a campaign where, um, the, where the pay was a little delayed and they worked really hard on their end to make sure that I got my payment filled out and it was, and there was no further issues. So I was really grateful for that. The second website and APP that I’m going to tell you about his popular pays, and I actually use this mostly from an app on my phone and it’s really similar to aspire Iq and that you create a profile and you apply for gigs.

Christy Keane: 04:22 I was say the big differences that some of the popular pays campaigns do have a minimum number of followers, um, listed right on the campaign. So you’ll know right away whether you are eligible to apply for some or not, but it works in a very similar way where you apply, they will tell you what the compensation is and they take the pressure off of the brand work again and they communicate back and forth with the brand for you. So that’s another good option that’s similar to aspire Iq. The third website and APP that I want to mention is really fun. It’s called collaborate, c, O, L, L A, B, O, r and the number eight. And it’s almost like Tinder for influencers and brands where once you sign up and login you’ll be able to see different brands that are on collaborate. And you can give them a heart if you like them and you can see who you matched with and then you can click to learn.

Christy Keane: 05:16 You can click on each brand to learn about them further and request to work with them. So it’s kind of neat to see who you like who likes you back. And I just think this is one of the better options for creators who are just starting out and learning about content creation because it’s not necessarily the bigger brands that I found on this website, but I find that the brands are really kind small shops that are just really grateful to work with you and just appreciate any of the content creation that you do. And so I just, I have found that was a really good experience and I was just starting out. I do think that more of the collaborate deal seem to be, um, just product in exchange for post. And again, like I mentioned earlier, that is okay that you are building up your portfolio.

Christy Keane: 06:07 You are learning how to create content and you’re going to hone in on the skills, the photography skills, the communication skills with the brands and a your time management. When you start to do campaigns like these. So collaborate as another really fun and easy option. It’s, I use it on the APP so it was just really quick and easy and user friendly. The fourth website I want to share with you, is musefind.com and this is actually where I got some of my first paid gigs and what really opened my eyes to the potential a sponsored content creation. And so it works very similar to the other websites where you go to musefind.com And you create a profile. But the differences is that I feel like more of the work with Muse vine is done on the backend and you have less of control on your side, what you apply for.

Christy Keane: 06:57 Basically they keep your information in their archives and when there is a brand or a campaign that looks like it’ll be a good match for you, they will reach out and offer you, um, either a paid promotion or product in exchange for the post, but they’re really, really easy to work with. I’ve always had a really great, um, sense of customer service from them and the payment, it’s always really prompt so I just highly recommend them. I’ve had a good experience. And the fifth and final website that I’ll share with you today is mom’s select and I hadn’t actually not worked on any of their campaigns yet, but I did sign up as an influencer and I wanted to share them due to their motherhood specific niche and the fact that they work with really great brands such as Disney, chick-fil-a, leap, frog, Crayola and Fisher price.

Christy Keane: 07:54 Those are just a few of the brands that I saw mentioned on their website. So for me, that is one of those ones where I don’t know how much they pay. Um, I’m sure they are do offer a lot of paid campaigns, but even for free product to be able to work with those brands, add that to your media kit and just to your overall portfolio. I think that could do a lot to build your brand, especially when you’re just starting out. So mom was, I hope you found this first MIP Mini helpful for you. I will definitely link all of the websites and apps that I talked about in the show notes as well as a few others that I have worked with or have heard about through other influencer friends of mine and you can just try them out and see how they worked for yourselves.

Christy Keane: 08:38 If you have a good experience with any of these actually, if you have a good or a bad experience with any of these, I would love to hear about it and be able to open up the discussion about it. And I think a really good place for that would be on my Facebook insiders page. So if you go to Facebook, join the Mommy influencer podcast insiders group, and I think it’d be really awesome to open up discussion about how some of our experiences that have been with these sites and any other great resources you all have.
